SOCIAL PROTECTION POLICY TO THRIVE IN BENUE STATE

The workshop which was organized by BENUE STATE OPERATION COORDINATING UNIT (SOCU) in collaboration with UNICEF and SAVE THE CHILDREN INTERNATIONAL at Benue Metropolitan Hotel Makurdi, provided indepth knowledge as far as Social Protection Policy is concerned.
The objectives of the workshop were to build common understanding of social protection and intervention with the New government, as well as obtain endorsement for the social protection policy.
Several participants expressed hope that the Social Protection Policy will work in Benue like in other states
SOCU Coordinator, Lady Aernyi during a vote of thanks plead with the government to approve the policy and make it a law in the state.
